Say No To Suicide

In the recent times, we’ve had news of depression and suicide rampant in the country. Most especially common among university students. In fact, from our very own university, Uniben, in a short time, we’ve had several cases. A particular case of the sister who fellowshipped with CU for a while before leaving. 

Due to this incidences, CUNAA has stepped up to organize an advocacy outreach to stem the rate of suicide in the school. We will be collaborating with the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, the University of Benin and Suicide Research and Prevention Initiative (SURPIN) . 

This program involves professionals sensitizing the students on topics relating to depression and the steps to take when noticed. A commitee has been set up and the scheduled date for this program is on the 10th October 2019. 

This is of utmost importance and we encourage all to join hands together in making this a success.
